The objective of the course is to provide the basic tools of radiometry, photometry and colorimetry, which are needed for designing electro-optical detection systems (flux collectors or image forming systems). This part is intended to allow future engineers or scientists to specify and characterize the optical and the optoelectronic components of such systems, such as : light sources, propagating media, surfaces, optical components, detectors
Basics of radiometry
Basic quantities of geometric radiometry, spectro-radiometry, visual quantities and units ; Introduction to colorimetry ; blackbody and thermal radiation ; photometric properties of surfaces and media.
